Swimming into a Close Victory

On November 10th the Flower Mound Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive teams received 2nd place at the Bob Stallings Invitational.

This victory was expected by Coach Mathew Murdock. “The team is always advancing and will get faster and better every year,” he said.

Ten girl representatives placed in the top 87 female swimmers. Alecia McGilliuary was ranked number 15 with 213 points, and Jenna Begury was ranked number 19 with 207 points out of all the girls at the meet.

The meet was held at the Student Recreation Center Natatorium at the College Station and on the A&M Campus.

“The meet went pretty well,” junior David Lason said, “all the teams were well prepared and focused.”

The Jags placed with the top scores as a combined team. With 276.50 points, the whole team ranked 2nd place overall.
