Everyone’s favorite seaside royalty are making an appearance on stage this weekend for The Little Mermaid Musical. The show is being performed from Thursday to Sunday in the Jack and Donna Auditorium. In honor of their production, Prince Eric and Ariel answered some questions you’ve always wanted the answer to.

She is your favorite scarlet-haired, underwater princess. Ariel is noted for her brave acts in destroying the evil sea witch Ursula, as well as her compelling romance with Prince Eric. She dawdled into our office to answer some questions:

1. Do you think your collection of human stuff is complete yet?

Ariel: “No not quite, but the prince is part of my collection now.”

2. Do you have any new discoveries from the surface?

Ariel: “Yes: humans. My favorite thing about them is their ambition and drive for exploration. Eric and I haven’t gone on any explorations yet, but being human is an adventure in itself.”

3. Are you upset that you are no longer a mermaid?

Ariel: “Yes, I miss my family and my friends, but I’m excited I get to experience something new.”

4. How are Sebastian and Flounder? Have you seen them after your transformation?

Ariel: “Yes, Scuttle helped a little after my transformation and adjust to being human.”

5. Are you happy that your father has given you the right to choose?

Ariel: “Yes, I’m glad I have his approval.”

6. Favorite thing about Prince Eric?

Ariel: “He likes the sea as well. He takes me on his boat all the time.”

7. How did you feel when you first tried to walk on your new legs?

Ariel: “It was really hard to walk at first, but I got the hang of it.”

8. What is the secret to keeping the perfect hairdo in the water?

Ariel: “The dinglehopper. Everyone needs a dinglehopper.”

9. Who is your celebrity crush?

Ariel: “Me, of course!”

The dark, tall, and chiseled sailor Price Eric has sailed the high seas and conquered the land above, but the only thing capturing his heart is an adventurous little mermaid. He dismounted his boat for a few moments to woo us.

1. When you first saw Ariel, did you know she was the ONE?

Eric: “Yeah, I knew she was the one. Her voice was beautiful.”

2. What did you think about her not being able to speak to you?

Eric: “I didn’t really think she was going to be my wife, I couldn’t hear her voice. I just thought she was this really cool lady, but then I started to slowly fall in love with her.”

3. Can you swim well? Also, do you ever dare to race Ariel?

Eric: “Yes, I can swim well. I won’t challenge her because I know I would lose.”

4. Legs or tail?

Eric: “I’m going to have to go with legs.”

5. Are you happy with Ariel’s choice to stay human?

Eric: “Yes, I am happy. I think it was the best decision for her and the kingdom.”

6. Who takes longer in the morning to get ready? Is it close or is there a noticable difference?

Eric: “She does, she has that nappy sea-foamy hair. I mean, she uses a fork as a brush.”

7. What is your favorite thing about Ariel?

Eric: “Her voice; she is a very good singer.”

8. Who is your celebrity crush in your kingdom?

Eric: “Selena Gomez.”

9. Why didn’t you just… kiss the girl?

Eric: “Well, I was nervous. I don’t get out much. I’m usually in the castle or on the boat. I’m happy I did finally kiss her.”
