This movie was perhaps one of the biggest releases of 2016, immediately making tons of money in the first week. But its sales dropped the second weekend by 69 percent after some bad reviews were released about the film. This marks the fastest drop in sales from any movie with Batman or Superman. Fans of the DC Universe were quick to defend their heroes with positive feedback on the movie though as people continue to go watch the film.

There are arguments about what really made the film upsetting, but most agree it was the slow start and the strange storyline. Overall this movie both failed and succeeded at the box office due to the criticism, but the loyal fans remain, and anticipate the outcome of more movies with both heroes in them like Justice League. One thing is for certain however, this is a movie people will remember for quite awhile with all of its ups and downs.
