This past Saturday, FMHS Chapter of Texas Association of Future Educators competed in various events at the region conference and we would like to acknowledge their hard work. Chapter yearbook team of Elsa Berry, Trinity Clark, Meredith Conrad, and Piyali Saha received a gold certificate in the event and qualified for state. Gold awards in individual professional portfolio event are Meredith Conrad, Caroline McCarrell, Zhanna Miller, Jason Street, and Tessa Welch. Each student qualified for state with their teaching portfolio. Gold award winner and state qualifiers in primary interactive bulletin board are the team of Tessa Welch and Caroline McCarrell; elementary team of Trinity Clark and Meredith Conrad and secondary interactive bulletin board, Piyali Saha. Qualifying for state in events that can eventually qualify them for nationals in Washington, D.C. in June, 2020 are: Elsa Berry – 1st place in Creative Lecture Piyali Saha – 1st place in Public Speaking Zhanna Miller – 1st place in Exploring Education Administration Careers Jason Street – 1st place in Job Interview Congratulations also being elected to be on the region officer team next school year and Piyali Saha for being selected to be a region committed chair. goes to Jason Street for Congratulations to all of these students for their hard work. We set a Flower Mound record for number of gold awards and 1st place recipients.

Attention all pre-AP and AP English students: If you begin pre-AP or AP English in January, be sure you have completed your summer reading assignment before the first day of class. Bring your books and anything that you need to submit to your teacher on the first day of class. If you are not planning on completing your summer reading assignment, see your counselor to discuss your options. You will not be able to level-out of pre-AP or AP English until after the third week of class if you do not take care of this before the break.

Join Science Olympiad. It is team in which you can learn about topics of your interest and then apply that knowledge in competitive. This is a great opportunity for those of you who are interested in the STEM field to decide which area of STEM you like. Also, joining would allow you to enrich Your achievement in the STEM field. Our information meeting will be on Tuesday, December 17 běfore school at 7:50 and after school at 3:45.in room 2320. Olympiad!

Guten Morgen! German Club meeting is today in Ms. Morrows room. Room 1640. We are celebrating our annual Christmas party with snacks & drinks and a white elephant gift exchange.
