It’s Friday already, and it’s the end of Kindness Week!  It’s been awesome seeing all the great N and KIND things happening around campus.  I’m and I’m one of the Kindness Ambassadors for [LISD] High School.  All week we’ve been trying to make kindness normal, and you guys have been killin ‘it.  I think we should all be really proud of how we’ve come together to make our school a better and kinder place to be.  Our last challenge of the week is probably the hardest one to do.  It isn’t always easy to ask others how we can be a better friend or family member, but that’s exactly what we’d like you to do.  For the last time this week … take out your phones and text a family member, friend or someone important to you and ask, “How can I improve our relationship?”  or “What can I do to make our relationship better? And, if you’re up to it, you could even continue this conversation in person. Remember, this challenge isn’t supposed to be comfortable or easy. You’ll need to  be receptive or neutral to the response you get Now this isn’t a quote from someone famous or lyrics to any song, but I think it’s worth sharing … “Great things never came from comfort zones.” Hopefully this week included some personal  growth and taught us all a little something about being good to others. I can definitely say this week has made a difference for me. So with that, have a great weekend, great school year, and …. just how Ellen Degeneres signs  off every show, “Be kind to one another!
