On Saturday, January 26, the LISD Council of PTA’s is hosting the Eighth Annual Bowling for Scholars Tournament at AMF in Lewisville.

Annually, the council awards two $500 scholarships to graduating students from all five of the LISD high schools. The funds needed to pay for these $500 scholarships are raised at the bowling tournament. The fees required to enter the tournament are $25 for adults and $20 for elementary students in teams consisting of four people. Three games of bowling and shoe rental fees are included in the price of admission, and anyone can stop by during the time slots: 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., or 2:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m. To participate, a team must come up with a team name and show up in uniform. The registration deadline is January 15.
