Selling Suits for Sleeping
November 22, 2013
The theatre department has been selling pajamas since September, and fundraiser are coming to a close on December 4.
The sales were originally set to end on November 14, but the sales were extended due to the demand of the holiday season.
“The purchases just kept coming in, so we decided to extend fundraiser,” Theatre Department Head Scott Taylor said.
This allows any person to continue ordering at the time they would usually start doing their holiday shopping.
“We hope that this will encourage more people to take advantage of this awesome sale,” Taylor said.
The Theatre Department has hosted the pajama fundraiser in the past and been quite successful.
“We have been doing pajama sales for about two to three years now,” Taylor said.
Along with pajama sales, they also participate in many other fundraisers, such as Sonic workdays and ad sales in the programs for productions.
“The pajama sale is one of our biggest fundraisers of the fall,” Taylor said.
The fundraiser will help fund the production budget of shows and the cost of travel to conventions. Students and teachers can buy the pajamas online for only $30, and customers can choose from three items of their choice.
“You can pick out the fabrics you want and choose different outfit selections,” Taylor said, “such as pajama pants, t-shirts, slippers, scrubs, and robes.”
The theatre department receives 40% of all proceeds, so take part and order some pajamas.
