The Texas State Junior Classical League (TSJCL) held its state competition on March 28 in Amarillo, Texas. Of the five students from FMHS who competed, all placed, and four advanced to nationals.

Seniors Alex Oh and Reena Suh both placed first in Decathlon and Mattos respectively, with Reena also taking second place in Roman Life and Literature. Juniors Michaela McPherson and Prajakta Joshi placed first in Greek History and Latin Literature respectively, and sophomore Kylie Long placed third in Latin Derivatives.

Alex, Reena, Michaela, and Prajakta will attend the week long national competition in San Antonio, Texas on July 27 – August 1.
