Crank Up the Spirit for Homecoming Week!

Bethany Bresnahan and Ashlan Hustava

Starting Monday, October 15th, and continuing each day throughout the week, there will be a different themed spirit day. Homecoming is just around the corner, and the student body is excited for the event. It isn’t simply about mums and garters; it’s also about getting pumped full of spirit for the upcoming football game.

Each day will be a different theme, and a different opportunity to show school spirit. All themes will relate to the Coppell Cowboys, the opposing team.

The spirit theme on Monday will be “Let the Games Begin”. Students may wear either a jersey or their favorite team’s shirt.

Tuesday, students should dress like twins to “Double Team the Cowboys”.

“Make the Cowboys Work” on Wednesday by showing off jaguar spirit and wearing school-appropriate workout clothes.

Get mix-matched on Thursday and “Twist the Cowboys”; stripes, polka dots, and plaid should be mixed together to create a crazy outfit. Any dissimilar pieces of clothing are perfect for this spirit day.

Lastly, Friday is “Mum and Garter Day” or “Jag Swag”, so wear a mum, garter, or get maxed out in Jags attire.

It’s time to get the Jags fired up to win the homecoming game, so get together with friends to show some spirit!
