LISD’s New Look

To sport a new vision and tagline, “Real Innovation, Limitless Opportunity,” LISD is changing their logo. To decide on which logo to use, LISD is asking members of the community to vote for their favorite.

The new logos were created in the fall by the Strategic Design Subcommittee.

A lunchtime survey revealed that 4 out of 5 students at Flower Mound High School chose the “Progressive Stars” logo over “LISD burst”. The “Progressive Stars” is more popular between students due to its modernized style.

“I prefer the progressive stars because it’s more modern and fresh,” freshman Marin Mills said.

However, some students were not in favor of either logo option.

“I don’t like either of them,” freshman Michelle Scheffler said. “The LISD burst kind of looks like a cartoon.”

The new logo will be revealed at the LISD Board of Trustees meeting on March 18, 2013.
