Star Trek Into Darkness Movie Review

On Thursday, May 16, Star Trek Into Darkness premiered in theatres across the globe. The sequel to 2009’s Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness continues the adventures of the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Star Trek Into Darkness stars Chris Pine as Captain James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto, who plays Spock, and Karl Urban as Leonard “Bones” McCoy. Viewers were also introduced to a new character, the mysterious John Harrison played by Benedict Cumberbatch.
The actors and actresses selected for each role did an amazing job portraying their characters. Although the majority of actors featured in this flick were also in Star Trek, the new additions to the cast were expertly selected and did a wonderful job.
While in the theater of Star Trek Into Darkness, the audience spiritedly cheered when Leonard Nimoy, Spock in the original Star Trek television series, who played made an appearance as Spock Prime.
This action-packed film was filled with visually pleasing special effects and used the perfect stage makeup to create incredible aliens. Everything from the firing of a phaser to the U.S.S Enterprise launching into warp drive was stunning, and makes you feel like you are a part of the action within the movie.
The majority of action in this movie was due to the ambiguous John Harrison, who created a twist in the movie. This major shift in the story was very apparent if viewers had seen any of the original Star Trek movies.
Star Trek Into Darkness includes an amazing cast, stunning special effects, and crazy stage makeup that make the perfect movie for any sci-fi lover or even people who love action-packed films, so be sure to see it before it’s out of the theaters.
