Flower Mound High School (FMHS) Junior Cassie Perez was recently recognized as one of the USA Water Polo Academic All-American Student Athlete for the 2011-12 school year. Perez plays water polo for the North Texas Thunder Water Polo Club.
This is the sixth year for the All-American Program to recognize student-athletes for excellence in the pool and in the classroom. Members must have completed their sophomore, junior or senior year in the Spring of 2012 and participated in a USA Water Polo National Championship event while maintaining a 3.6 grade point average or higher.
