Fun and Games Down at the FMHS Carnival

At the Homecoming carnival, students and adults of all ages had fun and played various games. The carnival was followed by the homecoming pep rally.

Various clubs, as well as community organizations, participated in the carnival by preparing booths for people to participate in.

“I saw a lot of game booths,” junior D.J. Andrews said. “Theatre had a booth that incorporated fishing for Goldfish and Swedish fish and someone else hosted a snowcone booth.”

Many different people attended the many different booths from a Bundt cake booth to a dunking booth, everyone had the opportunity to have fun and anticipate a successful homecoming game.

“My favorite part of homecoming carnival was having the opportunity to watch everyone have fun,” senior Bri Polischeck said. “I loved seeing kids running around and having fun.”

After the carnival Polischeck, who is a Rosette officer, performed along with other Rosettes, the band, and color guard in the homecoming pep rally.

Sophomore Kara Lane, a band member, helped pump up the crowd in the pep rally.

“Everyone was very enthusiastic for the game, and we were pumping up the crowd, and everyone clapped their hands and rose to their feet,” Lane said. “It was similar to a regular pep rally, but it was much more exciting.”

After students performed, the homecoming court was introduced. Attendees of the pep rally cheered on the varsity football team. The homecoming carnival and pep rally were successful, and Jag fans grew excited for their homecoming game.
