The Flower Mound Jaguars varsity tennis team defeated the Lewisville Fighting Farmers 10-0 in the first round of the district tournament.
“This match was just a small bump in the road on our way to Marcus; we are going to practice harder to make sure that we are ready,” Head Coach Brad Wikse said.
After the win on Tuesday, the Jaguars now have to play the Marcus Marauders Friday at Marcus for a chance to go to regionals for the first time in four years.
“This will be a great opportunity for our seniors to go out on a high note, by beating Marcus and going to the regional tournament,” Coach Wikse said.
