The Flower Mound High School Jaguars golf team recently won 1st place in their 5A district golf tournament. On April 9th, the Jags took home the district title and are on track to compete in the 5A regional tournament.
The Jags have received much support from their fellow teammates and peers. Many have given kind words of encouragement to the team.
“I think it is awesome to be a part of such a strong golf team,” sophomore Jake Sommers said. “We have many great players on the team along with our amazing coaches.”
Senior Nathan Grey won 1st place overall in district and Senior Bryant Evans got 3rd overall, however, all the Jags did very well and helped contribute to their success.
“I am proud of the boys for winning district and wish them the best of luck at regionals,” sophomore Callie Morris said.
Overall, the district tournament was a complete success for the FMHS Jags. The Jags look forward to the regional golf tournament which, will be held this summer in Lubbock, Texas.
